What the service is

SolarRoute is a free information and comparison tool for residential rooftop solar in India. It helps you understand a sensible system size, an expected price range, likely subsidy and estimated savings. It is not professional engineering, financial, tax or legal advice.

Estimates, not quotes

Everything the tool produces is indicative and based on the details you enter plus published reference data. It is not an offer, a quotation or a guarantee of price, generation, savings, payback or subsidy approval. Actual results depend on your roof, equipment, tariff, usage, weather and the installer you choose.

Subsidy information

Subsidy figures reflect published central and state scheme rules as of the date shown alongside each source. These rules, budgets and eligibility conditions change. Always confirm the current position on the official national portal and with your electricity distribution company before you apply or commit to spending.

Vendor directory

The vendor directory is informational and unpaid. Listing a company is not an endorsement, recommendation, warranty or certification of that company or its work, and no one can pay to be listed, ranked higher, or labelled as verified. Any contract you enter into is strictly between you and that company. Check credentials, licences, references and warranty terms yourself before signing anything.

Your responsibilities

• Give accurate details — a wrong bill or roof area produces a wrong plan.
• Use the service for your own genuine decision-making.
• Do not scrape, copy in bulk, resell, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Keep your account credentials to yourself.

Accounts

You can use the tool without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for activity under it. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. You can ask us to delete your account at any time through the contact page.

Liability

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for installation outcomes, workmanship, equipment performance, disputes with vendors, rejected subsidy applications, or any loss arising from decisions you make based on an estimate from this site.

Content and changes

The site content, design and calculation method belong to SolarRoute. We may change, add, or remove features, and we may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. See also our privacy notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
