About us
Getting solar should not feel like a guessing game.
Ask three installers about your roof and you will often get three different system sizes, three very different prices and three different answers about the subsidy. Most homeowners have no way to tell which one is right — so they either overpay, undersize, or drop the idea entirely.
SolarRoute exists to give you an honest starting point before you talk to anyone.
What SolarRoute is
It is a free tool. You enter your city, your monthly electricity bill and a little about your roof. In under a minute you get a plain-English plan: a recommended size, the cost range you should expect to see, the subsidy you are likely eligible for, and what your savings and payback look like. No account needed to see it, and nobody calls you.
What we do
- Work out a sensible system size from your actual electricity bill
- Show what that size typically costs, in a fair price range
- Estimate the government subsidy you are likely to qualify for
- Estimate monthly savings and how long the system takes to pay back
- Point you to installers who work in your area, listed for free
What we deliberately don't do
- We do not install anything or run site surveys
- We do not file your subsidy application for you
- We do not take payments, deposits or arrange loans
- We do not sell or rent your details to anyone
- We do not accept money for a higher position in listings
Where our numbers come from
Nothing on SolarRoute is invented or randomised. Sunlight estimates come from published long-term climate data for your area. Subsidy amounts follow the official central and state scheme rules, and each one carries the source link and the date we last checked it. Prices come from typical market ranges per kilowatt rather than any single seller's quote.
Where we are not certain, we say so on the page instead of hiding it. Rules and prices change, so always confirm the current subsidy position on the official portal before you apply.
How we stay independent
We are not a lead-generation business. Vendors cannot pay to appear, to rank higher, or to be labelled as verified. Your details are yours: we do not pass them to installers, and we do not sell them. If you save a plan to an account, it is there for you to come back to — that is all.
